Represents a WC52 - in two models:
- an American standard one
- a Croatian Police one of the 1991 War of independence.
The origin of this vehicle dates most probably from the 'Jadran Film' movie
studios in Zagreb - (See last picture)
They made part of the vehicles used for filming and were from Yugoslav Army surplus stock. When the war broke in 1991 they were taken by the Police and voluntary units (ZNG) and converted in some kind of 'gun trucks' and used until the availability of other vehicles (either bought from German or Swiss army surplus or captured from the Yugoslav Army baracs). So they were really used in combat in 1991, not for filming purposes. Unfortunately there are very very few photographs of such machines.
A similar and most typical situation was the use of an ex Police Bell-47 helicopter, 'borrowed' from the Zagreb Technical Museum, put to flying condition, armed with a 57mm rocket launcher and sent to front for combat.
Hope you understand the use of the two 'Italeri' vehicles .... Vojislav Jereb

(English)- Conversion of the DUKW from Italeri (7022) into the BAW (Bolshoj Avtomobil Wodjanoj = large watercraft) or ZIL-485
The Russians got the DUKW over Lend-Lease, took over the concept and developed the ZIL-485 from it in the fifties (further development:
Folding ramp at the rear, chassis of the ZIL-151 and 157). The NVA had this vehicle in service from the beginning until the 1960s
The SFK-85 is a scratch construction. The 85 mm Pak was equipped with a motorbike engine (from the Molotov M-72, BMW replica) and therefore conditionally independent
Driveable and gelandegangig. SFK = self-propelled gun. In addition to the SFK 85 mm, the SFK 57mm (57 mm Pak ZIS-2 with motorcycle engine) was also in the 60s
Years in the NVA. - Udo Bauer
SFK = SelbstFahrende Kanone.Neben der SFK 85 mm war die SFK 57mm (57 mm Pak ZIS-2 mit Motorrad-Motor) ebenso bis in die 60er Jahre hinein in der NVA im EInsatz.
This kit have also optional simplified wheelparts for wargaming, but luckfully the other wheels of the M8 are full casted and detailled.
