In 1948, the Soviet joint-stock company "Lift" at the former Bleichert
plant in Leipzig (East Germany) began production of three-ton ADK-III
truck cranes. Among several chassis options, they were also based on the
refurbished Studebaker US6 vehicles. The cranes were used mainly in the
Soviet group of forces in Germany to carry out restoration work, and were
also supplied to the Soviet army as reparations
