NEW August 2020 !
Re-Release from the ex-MK72/MPK plastic kits under label from "Special Armor"
August 12, 2020 - Great News!!
Those of you who read our regular monthly Newsletters will have already known that a couple of steel moulding tools have recently been acquired and
incorporated into our portfolio of 1/72 military vehicle models. These models originate in MK72 company and it simply does not mean anything else than
you should expect top end quality. The first model to be released under Special Armour brand is to be the SA720020 Sd.Kfz 131 Marder II (7,5 cm PaK 40/2)
and today, we have a handful images here to show you the test build sample. Martin Pfeifer, the model builder, had at first been rather moody, grumbling
something about bleed...ng tiny midgets. When he finally finished the model, he had nothing but words of admiration, for the easy build and perfect fit
of the parts

Kit SA72027 - Captured SdKfz.250 Ausf. A - (Alte Ausfuhrung) - (Same kit as Kit SA72019 - Sdkfz 250/1 Ausf A (Alte) with different decals)
The earlier version of the Sd.Kfz 250 with a hexagon-shaped body armour was one of the most widely used German WW2 armoured personnel carriers. The type
was in production and used since 1941. In 1943, the vehicles begun to be subsequently replaced by a later type which allowed easier production, the
Sd.Kfz 250/1 Neue Ausf.A. Both versions remained in service until the end of the war though. Some of them also fell into the hands of the Allies and
were put to military service as well.br>
The model comes with fine detail throughout, with styrene tracks and offer three colour scheme options. First, there is a sand-painted vehicle with CSR
letters on the body (abbreviation for Czechoslovak Republic) which was used by Czech insurgents during the May 1945 Prague uprising. Next is a green-painted
vehicle no.10 bearing the Polish Eagle markings, which was operated by the Polish Army during the liberation of Poland. And the final option is a
white-star marked vehicle which was captured by the US troops at the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes in the winter of 1944. The vehicle retained
its original German camouflage with only the stars added.
