The Garford-Putilov was a heavy Russian armored car from the First World War, built on the chassis of imported American Garford trucks. The vehicle possessed impressive firepower thanks to a 76.2 mm cannon in a rear turret and three 7.62 mm Maxim machine guns. Although the vehicle was top-heavy due to its high center of gravity and had mediocre off-road performance, the armor was rock-solid.After the collapse of the Russian Empire, various examples were captured. Kit 72003 replicates a vehicle in service with the German Freikorps . These paramilitary units, composed of demobilized veterans, deployed the heavily armed tanks to suppress civil unrest, strikes, and communist uprisings (such as the Spartacus Rebellion) in chaotic post-war Germany (1918-1919).
